Jiuquan Suzhou District has a history of more than 30 years of onion cultivation. Due to the fertile soil, sufficient sunlight, large temperature difference, and unique climate, the onions produced have a beautiful appearance (approximately spherical), a high single heart rate, strong flavor, tenderness, and firmness. The dry matter content is high, and the quality, color and flavor are obviously superior to other onion producing areas. Therefore, it is favored by domestic and foreign merchants, mainly including Mutong, Fuxing, Hongbao 905, California Prince, Huangpi 02 and other varieties. After more than 30 years of development, the district has become the second largest onion planting base after Shandong, and enjoys a high reputation in the domestic and foreign markets.
