Rail clips, also known as elastic rail spring clips, elastic rail clips, and rail tension clamps, are used for railway sleepers to fix the steel rails on both sides. Rail clips are usually forged from spring steel. SKL14 rail clips are a kind of SKL rail clips, it is component of W14  fastening system.

W-series rail fastening systems provide the following economic benefits:

• All fasteners can be pre-mounted, which allows full automation of track laying;

•  Replacement of rails can be done in a simple way by pushing the tension clamps back into their preassembly position;

• Temperature stresses of the rails can be easily compensated by loosening the screws;

• The system makes it possible to adjust the track width and position of the rail in height. The latter is ensured by simply sliding rail pads of the required type from the side under the rail height. To adjust the track width, side stops of various widths are used. In this case, the rails always remain completely electrically isolated.

·         Raw material: High-quality spring steel from reliable and certified manufacturers for a long time.

·         Shearing: Spring steel bar must be cut according to the required length.

·         Heating: Forging temperature (950-1000 degrees Celsius), but overheating shall be avoided to check decarburization.

·         Forming: Proper heating rods shall be transferred to the forging press.

·         Hardening: Forged rail clips moved to the quench tank. Dimensional accuracy and quench hardness of rail clips are checked before tempering.

·         Tempering: The rail clips are tempered at about 350 Celsius to achieve appropriate toughness in the spring.

·         Inspection: Products are checked thoroughly as per China CRCC and customer-required specifications and designs.

·         Packing: Clips can be packed in woven bags or upon customer requirement
