High Purity Chlorinated Polyethylene
Introduction:
CPE, short for chlorinated polyethylene, is a material obtained through the substitution of hydrogen atoms with chlorine atoms in HDPE, which exists as a white powder, non-toxic and tasteless.
The commonly used grade of CPE is CPE-135A in PVC rigid products as impact modifier. The impact modification effect of CPE is to form a physical cross-linked network in PVC compound, and enclose the primary particles formed by the rupture of PVC in the network formed by CPE elastomer. At the same time, there are diffusion molecular chains between PVC primary particles and secondary particles to improve the impact strength of the CPE/PVC blend system.
CPE also has outstanding weather resistance, good abrasion resistance, heat resistance, low temperature performance and chemical resistance properties apart from excellent impact strength.

High purity:CPE we supply is of 95% purity, and 5% CaCO3 is to keep the sticky particles separated. With such purity, addition can be reduced to save cost and provide better impact strength to the finished products.
Stable quality:Different chlorine content will be of greatly influence to its quality and functions, chlorine content of 35% is tested to have the best modifying effect to PVC products.
Different applications: Mainly used in PVC industry, it can also be used in HDPE to increase impact resistance and printability.
Applications:
1. Pipes: Typically used in specialty PVC pipes, CPVC pipes, electrical conduits, and any highly filled compounds in this category.
2. Wires and cables: The excellent additive/filler acceptability characteristics of this CPE can provide a benefit in blends where compound performance and economics are emphasized.
3. Hose and Tubing: Provide high impact strength properties to high performance hose and tubing within reasonable cost.
4. Window Profiles: CPE-modified profiles are characterized by improved low temperature properties and corner-weld strength.
5. Other applications: Easy to be compatibilized with thermoplastic, can also be used as an additive in injection molding of a variety of thermoplastic resins.
6. CPE blending with other rubber:
a) CPE /NR: improving tensile, tear strength, aging, chemical and flame resistance.
b) CPE /SBR: improving strength, aging, ozone, oil resistance and better appearance.
c) CPE/EPDM: improving extrusion flow, adhesiveness, tensile and abrasion, and cost effective can be cured same time with peroxide.
