The kit is developed to detect 2019-nCoV RNA in oropharyngeal swabs and sputum specimens using a proprietary technology-RNA Amplification and Lateral Flow Assay. Three target genes are included in the detection as follows:ORF1ab gene,E gene and human 18srRNA gene (internal quality control). First, the cells in the collected specimen are lysed with Cell Lysis Buffer to release RNA. Next, the target RNA fragments are amplified with Reverse transcriptase, T7 RNA polymerase and RNaseH. Last,the RNA products are captured and identified through the analysis of the lateral flow chromatography.The presence of 2019-nCoV RNA isidentified by formation of visible bands on the Detection Card.
